Emmanuelle de Villepin

Emmanuelle de Villepin was born in France but moved to Geneva at a very young age, where she graduated with a degree in law, and then to New York. She has lived in Milan since 1988. She is the author of several novels and the libretto for Madina, a ballet based on her novel La ragazza che non voleva morire (The Girl Who Didn't Want to Die) and performed by Roberto Bolle. She has won the Fenice-Europa Prize and the Rapallo Carige Prize. She is president of the TOG Foundation, a center of excellence that offers the best specialist care to children and young people with serious neurological disorders. 

Her most recent novel is L'incidente (Astoria, 2025).
