
Elephants on the Run
It is the story of the people of the Elephants forced, one bad day, to leave their country and look for another place to live. In their escape, a sort of epic and surreal exodus, they will be helped by the naive and disarming imagination of the King's little elephant son, and by the animals that are the protagonists of Saint-Saéns' score. A timeless fairy tale, but also a tale on the theme of the migration of peoples, which adds to Camille Saint-Saéns' amusing musical scherzo a food for thought on our times. The colourful full-page illustrations by Andrea Aste give vitality and energy to the narrative. On the enclosed CD, the voice of the actors blends, between humour and melancholy, with that of the instrumentalists.
