Bitter Waters

Giovanni Capotosti seems to have had everything in life: a beautiful house on Lake Orta, a rich estate, and the affection of his wife and son Bruno. But he is left with the regret of losing the great love of his life: Dolores, the most beautiful girl on the lake. After 30 years, "his Dolly" suddenly returns with a letter. The surprise is great, but that letter for John tastes like a second chance. Around this family affair gravitates the small universe of Orta San Giulio, where Commissioner Zottìa is now at home. But the quiet of Orta is broken when a dead body is found in Bruno Capotosti's villa: who is that man, left without papers or objects that could identify him? Is it possible that no one knows anything, in a place where everyone knows each other? In provincial towns, rumors run and obfuscate the truth, just like the waters of the lake, which under the apparent calm hide insidious currents.
