A great photographer, Elio Ciol, known throughout the world, intersected the life of Don Giussani during the ten years (1954-1965) in which the Milanese priest gave birth to Gioventù Studentesca, the community that would later become Communion and Liberation. Of that decade, Elio Ciol's photos are an essential testimony. The most important ones are collected in this photo book, accompanied by Massimo Camisasca's historical account and the testimonies of two well-known and respected names within the Communion and Liberation movement: psychologist Eugenia Scabini and Fr. Pigi Bernareggi, a missionary in Brazil for 50 years.
