The theatrical story is based on the bestseller “Socrates, Agatha, and the Future,” but goes beyond it. It begins with a hilarious questionnaire (“How old are you getting?”), includes readings and stories (ah, that conference at the nursery school!) and features music by the White Socks Quintet: Massimo on piano, Iacopo on bass tuba, Alessio on clarinet and saxophone, Claudio on drums and Romina (Massimo's daughter) on vocals. These are Florentine friends in their sixties who have reunited many years after their debut in the historic band of Campi Bisenzio. Elegant in their evening attire (yes, with white socks!), entertaining and unpredictable, the White Socks Quintet accompanies a timeless story with Dixieland music.
