A new Elsinor co-production by director, video artist, and Teatro Fontana director Ivonne Capece.

The production, based on Nicola Lagioia's bestselling novel of the same name, will be staged on November 13 and 14 and then from November 17 to 26 at the Teatro Fontana.

La città dei vivi (The City of the Living), Nicola Lagioia's international bestseller, is a new creation by director and digital artist Ivonne Capece that questions the boundary between narrative and reality, artistic need and existential obsession. It is not the chronicle of a crime, but the reflection of an inner autopsy, in which the artist exposes herself to the emotional vortex that binds her to her city and her own impulse to tell stories. Rome, with its chaos, indifference, and magnificence, is not a backdrop but a force that shapes pain and writing. Making art means measuring oneself against an abyss, without the certainty of emerging unscathed.
