“La regola dell'equilibrio,” starting Monday, March 9, at 9:30 p.m. on Rai 1
Press Release: Rai Fiction on the Success of "Guerrieri"
“The results of the first episode of 'Guerrieri - La regola dell’equilibrio'—with an average viewership of 3.9 million and a 22.8% share (airing in prime time on Rai 1)—confirm the power of popular storytelling when it speaks to the present with authenticity and depth. This adaptation of Gianrico Carofiglio’s novels demonstrates once again how great Italian literature can be transformed into high-quality television, capable of engaging a broad and diverse audience,” stated Maria Pia Ammirati, Director of Rai Fiction.
“My first thanks go to Alessandro Gassmann and the entire cast, to director Gianluca Maria Tavarelli, and to the writing team, who translated Carofiglio’s narrative universe into a rigorous, intense story that captures the full complexity of the characters. An equally heartfelt thank you,” Ammirati concluded, “goes to the Rai Fiction team and the production companies Combo International and Bartlebyfilm for the quality of the production process, which achieved a result that met the high expectations of the general public.”
Guido Guerrieri is a successful, brilliant, and deeply restless lawyer. He treats every case as a personal matter, always questioning rules and certainties: empathy is his strength, but also his main weakness. Passionate about boxing, nostalgic for his lost love for his wife Sara, from whom he is separating, Guerrieri, played by Alessandro Gassmann, is the protagonist of the four-part drama series “Guerrieri la regola dell'equilibrio” (Guerrieri: The Rule of Balance), co-produced by Rai Fiction, Rai Com, Combo International, and Bartlebyfilm, airing for the first time on Rai 1 on Monday, March 9, at 9:30 p.m. The series, directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli, is loosely based on the novels Ragionevoli dubbi (Reasonable Doubts) and Le perfezioni provvisorie (Provisional Perfections) (Sellerio editore) and La regola dell'equilibrio (The Rule of Balance) (Giulio Einaudi editore) by Gianrico Carofiglio, who is also the screenwriter for the series.
