The Festival delle Corrispondenze was established as part of the Vittoria Aganoor Pompilj National Prize for letters and correspondence, which is held annually on the first weekend of September in Monte del Lago, a hamlet in the municipality of Magione overlooking Lake Trasimeno. 

Among the must-see events in this tenth edition are those featuring Paolo Crepet, Melania Gaia Mazzucco, and Beppe Severgnini.
