Chiara Tagliaferri was born in Piacenza and now lives in Rome.
Her novel Strega comanda colore (The Witch Commands Color) was published in 2022 by Mondadori.
She is the co-author, with Michela Murgia, of the books Morgana. Storie di ragazze che tua madre non approverebbe (Mondadori, 2019), Morgana. L'uomo ricco sono io (Mondadori, 2021), and Morgana. Il corpo della madre (Mondadori, 2024), inspired by the cult podcast of the same name on the Storielibere.fm platform.
For Storielibere.fm, she edited the podcasts Invidia by Teresa Ciabatti and Daimon by Violetta Bellocchio and is the author of several other podcasts such as Les Diaboliques and Sailor, the latter created with Maria Luisa Frisa.
She writes for the cultural pages of Domani and collaborates with Vogue and F.
Since 2021, she has been hosting the Orizzonti Extra and Spotlight meetings at the Venice International Film Festival.
She has contributed to the anthologies Musa e getta – sedici scrittrici per sedici donne indimenticabili, ma a volte dimenticate (Ponte alle Grazie, 2021) and Dove si scrive, come si scrive (Rizzoli 2023).
