Patrick Zaki

Patrick Zaki is an activist and human rights defender who worked on gender and religious minority rights in Egypt until 2019 when he traveled to Bologna to pursue his master’s degree in women and gender studies. Zaki was a prisoner of consciousness in Egypt where he stayed in prison from February 2020 to December 2021 due to his political activism. Since his release, he has resumed his studies and graduated online until he is able to go back to Bologna and is participating in human rights events all over the world.
